Star Wars (at least the originals) is pretty great, right? Where could George Lucas possibly have come up with all the ideas for it? Well, here's a partial answer to that question. It doesn't cover the stuff from books or comics, and it only covers the very very clear connections (there was a lot of more nebulous stuff that I had to cut because of time), but it's a start.
