ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: A man in a small Italian village found an unusual way to settle the scores after losing 5,000 euros or about $6,555 playing the slots.
According to the Italian Carabinieri police, the 47-year-old decided to take revenge on the slot machines with a pick axe.
Close Circuit television footage released by the police show the man, named as Nure Bregu, walking into the Bar Madonnina in the village of Fontaniva near the northeastern city of Padua armed with an axe.
As he swings the axe and attacks the slot machines, other customers, including a man in the midst of a game, can be seen backing away.
After smashing the slot machines, Bregu calmly walks out of the bar.
According to media reports locals in the bar said the father-of-two, a regular on the slot machines, had been heard complaining he had lost 5,000 euros in two weeks.
