A South Carolina man has been arrested after admitting to police that he paid for a prostitute with quarters. According to Greenwood police, officers noticed an SUV driving very slowly and making numerous turns.
Cops also noticed that there was a known prostitute in the passenger’s seat. Officers stopped the SUV and talked to 63-year-old Larry Collum, who was operating the vehicle.
He claimed that he was only giving his lady friend a ride home. However when police probed further, Collum eventually gave in and admitted that he paid the woman for sex with a roll of quarters, the total value being $10.
Police located the $10 roll of coins on the woman but she denied accepting the money for sex. Cops weren’t buying it. Collum was charged with solicitation of prostitution while the female, 41-year-old Rhonda Kelly was charged with prostitution.
According to the arresting officer, Collum stated that he "made a serious error in judgment."
As for Kelly, she was arrested in March of this year and charged with solicitation of prostitution after another man reportedly gave her his wedding ring to pawn for sex.
