In this lecture you will learn how to create new site and connect it with remote server using Dreamweaver CS5.
Lets Start:
Step1: To Create New Site Click on the Site Menu from top Horizontal Menu row and click on new site.
Step 2: For Site Name Input type your desired site name. For example i set demo as site name.
and then choose the local folder in which you want to store all of your local files.
Step 3: Now Click on Save button.
You will see your newly created Site under Files tab on the right side.
And now you can create your new files and save them. For example i create new index.html file. Type something and save it then you will see it will be added under your newly crated site in the bottom right box.
Step 4: Add some html in your index file and save it. To preview your index.html file you can click on "world" icon on the upper mid menu and select preview in chrome.
If you want to explore the source folder of your current site then right click on your site and click on "Explore" menu. And now you can see all files.
Step 5: Now to you will link your Remote Host with your site. For this double click on your site name and then edit window will be opened.
Step 6: Click on the Servers Tab on the left side of this window and a form will be opened. Fill this form by using your ftp account details and click on Test Button to see if details are valid. If all is well then click on save. And window will be disappeared.
Step 7: Now on bottom right side, in the "Files" panel click on the Link Icon to connect with remote server using your ftp account. Now you are connected with your remote server.
Step 8: To Synchronize Click on the round synchronize icon below Files Tab. A window will be opened. Select proper options and Press Ok.
Now your all local files are synchronized with your Remote Server.
