I barely blew over the limit. So my job found out, which is a non-driving job, and I got a suspension. I have been with the company for ten years. I also cannot get some jobs,and these part-time jobs are very low-paying, so that's crazy! and they are not driving jobs fyi due to the dui on my record. I have to put food on the table and take care of my kids. That dui lead me into bankruptcy whereas before i had good credit. I did the time and huge fines. but I am still a low-life to some. I contribute a lot to society. I had no accident involved and before when i had an accident that was non-alcohol I never went to jail, etc..
This has been a few yrs ago and it still haunts me. I have been pulled over before and the officer gave me a sobriety test and once i pass, he had a look of disappoint, as if its some kind of huge revenue bucket. I almost lost my home, kids, and job because of 1 dui. I think the punishment needs to be based on an individual basis. -
