Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - On unemployment. How can can I pay fines? - I have accumulated around $9000 in court fines from 2 different county's in California. I also have $400 in parking tickets from being arrested and being forced to leave my car in an area that had a parking meter. My car is not registered any longer and I don't even have enough money to pay for car insurance. During my last court case i lost my Job because I was the only person employed and the business couldn't last without me when I had to attend court hearings and trial. Recently, I have been living on unemployment but i do not have enough money to pay for rent and living expenses. I don't have any credit, and cannot get a credit card from any bank.
I understand that I cannot file bankruptcy for fines. I am only 27 and it is not possible for me to pay for these things and still afford groceries or even get my car insured and registered. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Basically, my problem is that I cannot meet the expectations of the court to pay all of these fines, parking tickets and still live. I live on unemployment and haven't been able to find a job for 4 months. What can I do to reduce the amounts required by the county? Is there a program where i can work off the debt or speak to somebody about my income? -
