I have filed for bankruptcy Jan 2011. I was on the fence about it but now it is done. I knew that I had a steady job of 4 1/2 years and an apartment I have been in for 2 years. I am a single mom trying to get it together. Anyway, 1/31/11, my apt managers placed notices on everyone's door saying that whoever is over 18 and resides in the apt, must submit a new app and app fee and be re-approved to continue to reside here. I immediately panicked! I am fearful I will be kicked out. I have a fresh bankruptcy filing (not even discharged yet), horrible credit and can't be approved for anything. I really need some advice. Do you think my leasing history will be enough to keep me in my apartment (great 7 years of rental history) or should I seek somewhere else to stay with no credit checks? I am so freaking out!! -
