He became very irrational, out of touch with reality and very depressed and anxious. He ended up loosing his job. He decided to take it all out on everyone except my mother.
With endless days of manic depression like symptoms there was no way he would listen to anyone in our family. He wouldn't stay with counseling either. He would go from being done with her and moving on to crying and screaming at family because we wouldn't make her come back and believing that because we couldn't that everyone is abandoning him.
It all got progressively better as he completed bankruptcy and found a good job. then all over again he got the fantasy that she was driving home the next day to come home. When he decided to talk with her the next day and realized it was just an unrealistic thought that had no traces of reality tied to it he hit rock bottom over the whole thing again within 48 hrs. He now has lost his job again because they believe he isn't stable and is unsafe on the job. So now I feel like the last 7 months will repeat itself and I see no end in the cycle. He is seriously loosing it and I have no idea what to say or what to do for myself to end the crap all together. Any ideas of how to get him the help he truly needs or else he will lose the house and everything he owns and he will dwindle to nothing.
Just for the info I am 24 he is 61 and will be at retirement age in 3 months which will bring in 2/3 of the money he needs. he was married for 27 years -
