SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - Does timing matter when it comes to bankruptcy?

Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - Does timing matter when it comes to bankruptcy? - Decided to declare bankruptcy and have retained lawyer. That was six months ago, and, since funds are short, it has taken time just to SAVE UP for the attorney's fee. Is there any reason to file sooner than later? Or is it pretty much open ended? My credit cards were current before I decided on bankruptcy; now they are all in default as I let them go of course. Are the long term consequences (impact on credit, for example) worse the longer I wait to actually file and thus finalize the bankruptcy...? Are there any additional reasons to get this done sooner than later? Do I need to light a fire under me to expedite this or can I continue to take my time getting everything together (paperwork, etc...)? Lawyer is hard to get a hold of so any advice is sincerely appreciated. -
