I am also on my final filing for bankruptcy ( I was a bit late filing before garnishment) so it can only be filed and hold the garnishment on the next pay period.
My question is if sheriff will be holding the garnishment for 11 days because of the claim of exemption, will they return my wages once they receive my bankruptcy form? I had a really bully landlord, and didn't realized that this was their business to scam tenants, they know the in and out about the court procedure that now I have to pay for all the problem of the house after only staying there for 5 months. I just cannot stand that they have been doing this for so long and never get caught and now I'm one of the victim, how can I save my first garnishment? -
