US government watchdog says chemicals found in many liquid soaps may cause health risks.
Dr. Leonardo Trasande, associate professor of paediatrics at New York University's Langone Medical Center, talks to Al Jazeera about the latest government findings.
He told Al Jazeera's Divya Gopalan that the chemical Triclosan in antibacterial soaps have been found to disrupt thyroid hormones in the body.
