STORY: Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met a delegation of clerics from Lebanon's Coalition of Muslim Scholars on Monday (December 30), footage on state television showed.
In a rare appearance on Syria TV, Assad was seen greeting members of the Muslim clerics assembly headed by Sheikh Hassan Abdullah.
