Lilit Gevorgyan, a Russia analyst with IHS Global Insight, talks to Al Jazeera about the Crimean vote to join Russia.
Gevorgyan said that the vote is not helpful in de-escalating the crisis.
"If the situation escalates further, it means that the overall situation in Ukraine, particularly its economy, is going to become quite serious."
