Clovis Casali talks to Hiroaki Umeda, a choreographer and multidisciplinary artist recognised as one of the leading figures of Japanese avant-garde. His new show is on at the Theatre du Châtelet in Paris as part of Benjamin Millepied's LA dance project 2. Umeda explains how he sees art and what he thinks of American artist Bill Viola, who has a retrospective on at the Grand Palais here in Paris.
