The maverick director and master craftsman, Subhash Ghai has has returned to the silver screen with Kaanchi after a 5 long years.The movie is based on a woman who is a crusader against the injustices prevailing against women in the country. Debutante Mishti is essaying the lead role and the film also stars Karthik Aryan,​Chandan Roy Sanyal, Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty.Subhah Ghai's last movie was Yuvvraaj starring Salman.
