Khawaja Farid is one of the most read and respected classical Punjabi poets. He was born and died at Chachran Sharif and was buried at Mithankot in district Rajanpur. He was an outstanding scholar and penned several books. He knew Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sindhi, Braj Bhasha, English and Saraiki.
