i know this news (from late 2013/early 2014) may be old to a lot of folks who follow michael posthumously; however, i found out about this TODAY- and i did this video.
katherine jackson bypassed the estate (as the legal guardian of michael's children) and decided to make money off of what he considered to be his most valuable role in life- a father.
i will also add that blanket, whilst correct on africa being a continent, needs to know that the continent has a wealth of resources which have been exploited by countries such as the u.s. and china. people doing work to bring africa to a state of true sovereignty (steven biko, patrice lumumba, etc.) are usually murdered and/or kidnapped.
AFRICA IS NOT POOR! her people just have a history of colonization and exploitation.
UPDATE: while what i said here still stands (since the teacher and his children are consistently exploited), i did find out that mrs. jackson cancelled the request to fund the documentary, and the 'remembering michael' project was removed from the fund anything site. was this ultimately due to the estate taking action against her, since she doesn't have the copyrights to her son's image as a performer? the project was also backed by sonia lowe and howard mann- is this the same howard mann who made deals with katherine to exploit her grandchildren and create them into commodities?
this site was asking for upwards of SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS from fans to fund this documentary!
kirk schenck, a producer for the project, states that the project is still open, and they are looking for funding outside the u.s. grrrr...
