The life of female Israeli soldiers gets a humorous twist in the new film "Zero Motivation," which made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
Israeli writer and director Talya Lavie said she got the idea for the movie after completing her mandatory military service.

"I thought it would be really funny to do one of those epic war films but about - I mean epic military films but about, you know, us girls in the office. So actually it started from something I was amused by and only later on when I worked on it I saw - I went deeper into other aspects of it. Other social aspects in it. But that's how it all started."
"Zero Motivation" premiered on April 17th and will compete in the narrative competition at the film festival.
Lavie said winning would be a thrill.
