Widespread praise across the US after the National Basketball Association takes swift action and bans the LA Clippers basketball team owner over racist remarks.
Donald Sterling was recorded asking this woman not to associate in public with black people or bring them to games.
The remarks by Sterling seen here have earned him a lifetime ban from the NBA and a $2.5 million dollar fine.
Athletes, Clippers' fans and even the coach applauded the move, in a game, where many of the players are black.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS COACH GLENN "DOC" RIVERS ON THE BAN OF OWNER DONALD STERLING, SAYING:
"The last three or four days have been very difficult for everybody, no matter what the race is it has been difficult. I thought Adam Silver was fantastic, personally I though he made the decision that was the right one, that had to be made. I don't think this is something that we rejoice in or anything like that."
