Why must poetry fit a category or type
From love to death is it some hype
You must categorize what you write
For fear the hand of fate may smite
The thoughts you publish day or night
How foolish these folks must be
To want to categorize poetry
The way we do a bush or tree
I call love hate and hope despair
These mislabeling I know aren’t fair
But what do the powers that be
