His departure as shuddering as his movement,
Left us behind,
Rising into heaven,
For what he left,
We hold onto dear,
Pocket watch, television,
But most of all, his memories,
Wife left alone,
In a retirement home,
Only visited by children,
Once every 3 months,
Bringing children and gifts,
So she too may soon rest in peace,
Once joined in heaven,
Where they can relive their joys,
Such as fleeing to Canada,
Or caring for children's children,
All we can be sure of is that…
They'll be as happy as a newborn baby.
