My vision a grey mist
I see him flee
He runs from the unknown
Fear strikes through me like lightning on a summer’s day
For fear that this day would be his last
I run
I do not know where but I run
I follow his bare back for fear it will be the last
He does not slow
I call out his name but I do not see his face
He runs
The more I chase the more I long
I long for his touch, his embrace
Non do not happen
I run
I long for his melting voice, that mesmerizing smile
I call out, but he does not answer
I fear this is goodbye
He runs
I feel pain, like a hot Iron rod though my heart
Once more I call out, Once again silence
I long for his warmth
Only to feel ice
I run
I scream with the lungs of a mermaid
I scream the sirens song
He turns but does not slow
His face is of an angel
With the devils grin
He runs
I wake but he is already gone
Silent as the winter winds
His heart just as cold
A one sided love
An empty chase
