I tried to defend… just what I had said
Retract what …I had just spewed out!
But the deeper I tried now to rectify
The harder it got… to back out!
If you ever find yourself in this fix
Just admit whatever… it was you’ve said.
It’s better than trying… to find your way back
And you need to just keep focused… ahead.
No sense in trying to make it right
It really doesn’t seem to work.
And you only end up looking like a fool
While playing that… defensive style of jerk.
