(Conclusion)
I have often wondered why, people look upon the
insane,
As if they are from another world, a creature of
much disdain;
Deserving only our abusive words, in this world
of countless insane!
Yet our History is replete, with such maddening
afflictions of suffering and pain, ,
Igniting movements of various kinds, where religious
fanaticism had prevailed!
Like the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisitions, witch-
craft and human sacrifice, -
Are all instances of insanity, of its own brand and
kind!
And don’t you forget that Megalomaniac, *
Who tried to exterminate all the Jews, -
A fit case for the mental asylum,
While we pause to pay sanity its dues!
And all our modern terrorists, those racialists,
and fanatics, -
Who feel they can rule this world;
Remain as mere pawns on the checkered board
of time,
Those insane lunatics of a deluded kind, -
Who will make our psychiatrists go out of
their mind!
