In dreams I can fly
Over Mountain and dale
I float above meadows
On winds I can sail
Aloft I can see things
Not seen on the ground
For many a mile
I view all around
In some dreams I fly fast
In others it’s slow
With no fixed agenda
I just come and go
I’ve flown over rivers
Some crowded with boats
Where fishermen work
In their old oilskin coats
Once in a storm
The thunder was loud
So I hitched a free ride
On a passing rain cloud
Nobody sees me
When I’m passing by
Because I’m not there
It’s in dreams that I fly
