While stroking a cat in the light
it's easy to sense
when one more stroke will mean strike.
That's harder to sense in the night.
If you can, when you turn on the light
you'll hear a 'you're good' in her eye
and 'down the street there's a cat
that's equally swell
gets me there with the sense of smell'.
