If only I could remember...
I think I have a problem
I can't remember anything
One day I will wake up
and I won't know my own name
I used to think it was funny
Now I am ashamed
I call my husband Hunny
because I can't recall his name
I went to the doctor
just the other day
I didn't know what to tell him
or even what to say
I know I had a reason
for being there that day
If I could have just remembered
the docs would'nt have sent me away
I wonder if it's serious
this memory loss of mine
I wish I could finish this poem
but I've forgotten my lines
