Mary and her husband Larry
something bulky had to carry.
It was really very heavy
had a sign that spelled out Chevy.
They had landed in the ditch
called the truck a bloomin' bitch
had no money for the tow
carried Chevy through the snow.
Heard a very grown-up beep
at the corner, saw a Jeep.
Got the towrope hooked to fender
passed a Voyager Weekender.
Saw the inlaws sit inside
on their Sunday morning ride.
In-laws gawked in disbelief
thought the Jeep would come to grief.
But of course they all went home
glittering with all that chrome.
But the Cherokee (with frills)
had returned to the steep hills.
