A ray of light
A sunny day
Forget the work
It’s time to play
Will hold your hand
And show you love
Must be sent
From God above
Hear the music
Time to dance
But won’t wear anything today
Except her pink pants
Sometimes she cries
And Pouts about
But that’s ok
It’s part of life
To have your ups and downs
There is something, however that is always true
Whenever I’m in somber mood
And lacking any gratitude
When I see her that goes away
She takes my hand and wants to play
She gives me kisses on the cheek
She wants to dance and tell me things
She wants to swing or throw the ball
When I tuck her in at night
And help her say her prayers
I also say a little prayer
Of thankful gratitude
For the little girl who warms my heart
And makes me glad to be alive
