She stands on her own feet
but just barely.
She stands by herself
But not willingly
She stands in the crowd
but not to fit in
She stands by the boy
but not longingly
She stands on top of the world
but not for long.
She stands for what she believes in
but does she want to?
Does she stand for her
or because it is what she is told to do?
