These scars that I bear
released my pain
many years ago.
Each has a story to tell.
Each is connected to a memory.
But memories don't talk.
The walls around me
could compile volumes of memoirs,
but they stand silent.
I could tell you myself
but am afraid of your judgment.
So they will forever remain,
things I'll never say.
