Emotions overwhelm me
I sit and spill my tears
Crying for the lost one
Revisiting my fears
Swept along this river
Of questions asking why
The heart refuses comfort
Eternity slips by
The pain of loss surrounds me
I cling to nothing more
Then when my spirit lays down
And rests on distant shore
This heart is waxing weary
These wings refuse to rise
Huddled in depression
This wish I am denied
I yearn to find the comfort
I search to find a cure
Apply the mental bandage
Quell this mind filled war
All seems empty; vacant
I walk this path alone
Entombed within a darkness
This grief is all my own
