I've been working so hard
With nothing in return.
It makes me wish I wasn't here,
Makes me wish I wasn't born.
Remembering the days
Filled with smiles and sun,
Makes me wish I could leave,
Makes me wish I could run.
Wandering blindly
Through the constant repetition
Makes me wish I'd fight back,
Break away from tradition.
Day after day,
I don't see any changes.
They treat us like animals
Locked in steel cages.
Someday I'm going
To get out of this place.
No more of this nonsense,
No more getting chased.
Once I leave I'll look back
To where I was once controlled.
Beaten, whipped, and abused,
Like a spiritless soul.
I'll feel the wind in my hair,
And I'll walk on ahead.
Dreams of the new
Are in my head.
