Rex mayor Ubini - Adieu Maya Angelou

What a screaming silence,
And the echoes of its ambience,
Claiming this space with cold air,
Oh, I see, a virtue has gone out here,
No more we hear, no more we hear,
The unchanged rhythm of your drum,
Which wailed out for freedom,
By the hit of your poetic ruthe,
For the caged passenger pigeon has flown,
And a roaring silence sweeps my heart's lawn.

The free bird aloof invincible space,
Is now hosted by long gone face,
Of the solitaire, the great auk,
The garefowl, the labrator duck,
The kona grosbeak, The carolina parakeets,
And your name maya the warblers sing,
But here we are a vacuum,
Crowded with the absence of Maya Angelou.
Though the blood of your pen,
Had been sucked by the reaper of men,
But our heart is consoled by your age and prints,
O' mighty Maya may you rest in peace,
Because the cage bird alas is free!
