Manifested memory and
Meandering mine fields
Of the mind occasionally
Hoping to awaken and flee
Deceptive visions appear
Mentally trying to cast fear
That harkens to a time
When our love was sublime
Alas that was a long time ago
All that is left is a mortal blow
That two souls in despair
