The darkest of paths is full of light.
Such a barren road is engulfed in a burning blight.
Those who walk it are forever blind
and this forsaken plight is the most terrifying kind.
So I tread lightly, black lantern in hand.
I spur off the light with my umbral brand.
I open their eyes
by casting off white lies.
So they can see into the darkness
Whatever the blackest of truths may bring.
To escape igorance' carress.
To make knowledge king.
