It lay supine on the hot asphalt 
An Apple with a single bite 
Still perfect for a hungry mouth 
Some fat spoilt Western Youth 
Had thrown it there 
Yes i was hungry 
But i cleaned up the bite 
Washed away the guilt 
Made my way to the school administration 
I said one of your students dropped this 
It is a perfect apple that suffered a hungry bite 
Could you tell the assembly 
That a child from Africa handed it in 
He was hungry but honest
