This phoenix of black, weight on his back
Can’t even, fly won’t even try
A curse holds him down, in sorrow he drowns
An angel of light, fair and white
Seeing his fears, she cries her tears
A delicate flower, restoring his power
Now burning so bright, a fire in the night
With freedom he flies, seeking new skies
Angel on his back, they destroy all that’s black
Free from your lies, as they soar through red skies
Now they are free, a beauty for all to see
