Raindrops fall upon me, fill my life and make me a fountain,
Take me as high as can be, make me free, make me free.
My sunny days are filled with toil and with tears,
I hide within myself and lock away my cares.
From the world outside my window sill,
I laugh as I go by, but yet- I hunger still.
For the truth, for the youth, for the promise I've been given,
Wonder why must I thrive, what's the reason for my livin'?
The thunder rolls, the lighting strikes,
with fearfilled days and sleepless nights.
Now thoughts of you run through my head,
and another known which now is dead.
What must I do to make it through,
this road is hard this life is new.
And I feel insane, where is my brain,
I am so weak, I know too much pain.
So raindrops please fall upon me, cleanse my soul set me free.
Eternity just has to be...so raindrops please fall upon me.
