The Hummingbird
by Barbara Lynn Terry
This is what I saw as I watched a hummingbird
nearby.
The hummingbird was there
flitting from flower to flower
feeding on the sweet nectar.
It fed on the azalias, and the petunias,
it fed on the tuplips, and the violets.
Then it flew away, it's appetite sated.
