The moonlight shines on my pale yellow skin
My eyes fixed on water, a trance I’m is in
I see no refection of this torn figure
But I have no intention of seeing my picture
My body has fallen into eternal sleep
It shall never again have her soul to keep
My hands, still together with the rope that they tied
Around my neck, another rope hangs to the side
Still thinking of the time that you told me to wait
They found me, their eyes filled with hate
The rope hung high and they tightened my noose
My body was tight, no muscle was loose
I looked in the distance, where I last saw you leave
You weren’t back, was your love just a tease?
They said a short speech then I dropped
Followed by a quickened stop
I hung for a moment, then I let go
With the green filled ground not far below
Now I sit here, by the lake
Right in the spot where you told me to wait
I look over the land for a sign of you
And hope that you are looking for me, too
