My grandfather melted away
And resolved himself into a dew.
That mountain of a man
Now left asunder
A titan falling
And quaking the earth below
He was my hero
Now vanquished
By time
By smoke
And by Mr. Parkinson.
Now perhaps, I wish
He holds a greater light
Above the stars
And illuminates
My life from ages to come
My devoted Y-linked friend
And I, the inheritor
Of his devotion's past.
