The feel of the ink-filled pen
Against my soft skinned hands
Drawing me back
Puddles of rain
Closing in on me
Nothing to save me
but the pen in my hand
notebook at my feet
feelings in my soul
only thing that can help me
abandoned road
light only shines on me
yet so dim I can hardly see
wind blowing fiercely
voice travels through the wind
getting closer to me
pen rapidly moving
thoughts clear to see
voice near me now
I hear my name
Pen slips away..
hard dropp to the floor
I pick it up
as my surroundings change back
to the view through my window
from where the rain poured
