With pen in my left hand, and paper
in my right hand
I write you this poem
to let you know i love you
You make me laugh,
you make me cry,
but my darlin, you'll
always be my mine
When you hold me tight
you hold me right
Oh, how i wish you were
here with me tonight
When you sing to me
you sing it right
I never want you
to leave my sight
I want you with me
day and night
you know how
to treat me right
with pen in my left hand
and paper in my right hand
