Veronica, Veronica, such a Saintly name,
She carefully cleansed the Face of Jesus
When He was almost lame...
Walking along the 'Dolorosa'
With gentleness she came
And using her veil, she dried the dampness
From the Holy brow, and so continued to Calvary
Where Jesus was placed upon the Cross
As to God - He kept 'the vow'.
