FOR THE CITIZENS OF THIS
COUNTRY
Death no longer lurks in dark alleys or
by lanes,
But lies planted in the open, near movie
halls, parks and crowded markets ,
Lying camouflaged and in wait inside waste
disposal baskets!
The devil comes dressed in ominous black,
To score with his innovative ideas and
eloquent imagination,
While we try to catch up with our fixed out-
dated ideas and notions;
More concerned with gaining votes for the
coming general election!
We always lacked the firm resolve like the
Israelis,
And also lack more stringent terror laws, for
protecting the public!
Our Ministers wait for news of exact time and
place,
What a disgrace for that twelve letter word termed
‘intelligence’!
Since the authorities remain inept to protect this
country,
Why not hand over the reigns to the military?
