Surprise Me!

Jack Tex - Life Saver

2014-06-14 6 Dailymotion

The dead of winter,
Among Jewish women,
Helen stands frightened,
They are separating the healthy from the unhealthy,
She must look alive,
She must look pretty,
But how?
She hasn't eaten in days,
And shaking like a leaf,
Bring her blush from somewhere,
But where?
Ruling the confines of the camp is silence,
Work and work and eat less,
A fellow worker, Miriam,
Like a human comes along bringing a hair-pin,
Her mother gave it to her as a keepsake,
Now it's more than that,
It's a life saver.
Stick it into your finger, Helen!
Let the life come pouring out,
Let the blood be your blush.
