Surprise Me!

Theodora (Theo) Onken - ~Spring-At Last~

I can hear spring echoing in
At last-
The Winter too long it stayed-
Upon the hills and vales-
The echo's of Spring
Replays...

The frost that belonged to Winter Jack-
Has all but melted today-
A resurrection of Daffodils-
Can be seen In fields of Yellow Display...

Pink blossoms upon the trees once bare-
No nakedness any more-
Embellished with aromatic blooms-
Cherry Blossoms They Adorn...

Winters-bleak and dank bare Grey-
Has melted from Eastertide Sun-
And been welcomed in with Merry Mirth-
By God's Most holy One...

Cerulean skies dance the earth-
While Emerald green the grass it shines-
Butter Yellow rays blanket the days-
Teal Green grows the ivy upon the vine...

Resplendent in the morning dew-
Welcomed by Butterfly and Bee-
A Nation of Springtime Blossoming-
Affirming what my eyes can truly see!
