In one's darkness
There's not much to see
but pain and loneliness
Oh sorrow it could be
You search your soul
for something like hope
but back inside, deep you roll
In the eyes of others
Your light shines on
But darkness...it smothers
And soon hope is gone
Again inside, you try to look
For answers some how
That sadness overtook
But like wind they run
To never be found
Healing..you thought had begun
Has really hit ground.
So you stop searching
You give up all hope
Your demons are lurching
Strangling with rope
And in this last hour
You shut your eyes
You lost your power
And hear no more cries.
