I take out a photo of Grandma
Taken a long time ago
I feel the tears flood my eyes
Because I’ve loved her so
I have so many memories
That I’ll keep the rest of my days
I touch the brown and worn photo
Smile at the memories that stay
As a child she was someone I could count on
To be at her home where I went
Her loving arms would surround me
At the farm where time with her was spent
Because of family photos
The past is here with me now
Even though she’s not in the present
I feel close to Grandma anyhow!
